New Process for Filipinos Applying for a Japan Visa
The Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) by VFS Service Philippines, Inc. is set to begin operations on April 7, 2025 to streamline visa applications for Japan. This new system replaces the previous process handled by accredited agencies, which will stop accepting applications on April 6, 2025.

Locations : Five branches in the Philippines—Parañaque City, Makati City, Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City
Business Hours : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Application Hours :
Parañaque, Makati, Quezon City: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Cebu, Davao: 7:00 AM – 12:00 NN
Visa Fees: Applicants must pay a visa fee and a center usage fee (PHP 520), which varies by nationality and application type.
Payment Methods : Cash, credit card, and debit card.
Online Appointments : Available since March 19, 2025.
From April 7, 2025, all Japan visa applications must be submitted through JVAC, except for diplomatic, official, or urgent humanitarian cases, which will still be handled by the Embassy or Consulates in Cebu and Davao.
